GOOD PEOPLE OF /r/hackintosh - I am stuck as all hell.
I have a new build with a GTX760 graphics card. I've installed OSX successfully using Clover, but I cannot seem to get the drivers to play nice. Here's what I've done:
- booted with nv_disable=1, then installed the GeForceWeb kext using Pacifist. Used the right-click, Install to Default Location method
- Rebooted, and went to open the nVidia driver manager in System Preferences, which says it is "unable to open driver manager" and prompts me to re-install.
- If I activate the installed driver in the bootloader with nvda_drv=1, then the boot crashes before it gets to the apple logo. In verbose, it loads too fast for me to see where it is crashing, but it is clearly driver related.
I'm sure there is something I'm missing: but I feel as though if I could just get the driver manager to open and select the proper nvidia driver, this thing would be DONE. Its been really stable when booted with nv_disable=1... I'm open to any/all advice. Thanks for being such a great community.
