My board is the MSI PC Mate Z97, basically the budget version of the MSI Gaming Z97 board. Using the UniBeast method, I would get to the point where I would attempt to boot from the USB and it would just reset.
I found the solution to the problem!
MSI Z97 boards need to have 2 settings configured in BIOS, found here on this post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/bios-uefi/143167-msi-9-series-motherboards-os-x-setup-configuration.html
Disable CFG Lock Disable VT-d
The problem I had was there was no option for CFG Lock. The solution was simply to update the BIOS. After updating this option appeared. I changed the 2 settings and UniBeast installed perfectly.
