I recently built a desktop and was hoping that I could try hackintoshing OS X Yosemite and so I've been researching around on Tonymacx86 and macbreaker. You can see my build here.

I tried using the Unibeast method and it worked up until the installer (I got the Unibeast screen, and saw a flash of an Apple logo on a grey background) but then rebooted the system.

When just hitting enter at the Unibeast screen didn't work, I tried adding the flags "-x -v GraphicsEnabler=Yes" and another one or two I don't remember (I was grabbing them off a page on a friend's laptop) - but that didn't help.

Now, if you looked at my build you'll notice that ... it isn't the most hackintosh friendly. I've got an MSI Z87-G41 motherboard and a GTX 750 Ti. Obviously, both can work with OS X, but getting them to do so is a bit of a hastle I guess?

I know I probably need to do something about flashing my motherboard's BIOS/UEFI or adjusting settings, but I can't seem to find specific instructions for my motherboard. None of the guides I've found (yet) seem to mention the options my motherboard has.

On The Always Up-to-date Guide to Hackintoshing on Lifehacker (as well as most other guides) mention you should "Load Optimized Defaults before doing anything else.". However, I don't know what Optimized Defaults they mean.

I read this post on tonymacx86 about setting up the BIOS/UEFI on the MSI Gaming 9 series ... but my board is not an MSI Gaming 9 series and I can't seem to find the options they mention.

Does anyone know what this would require? I'm looking into other options (like Clover), but I need to know what changes I need to make (specifically to my mobo/BIOS/UEFI.)
