So, yesterday I happily got home with my new SSD on which I could finally install Win 8.1 to run alongside the happily working OSX 10.10.2, (more specs at the end of the post), everything was fine and I was happy. My talent in making disasters out of nothing seemed to have had no chance to affect me this time. (spoiler alert: it did).
The only thing that annoyed me was having to go thru the bios (ok, UEFI actually) to change the boot order everytime I wanted to use one or the other OS. So I tried following this guide to get a startup screen with both from where to choose via Clover... but it seems I rebooted a bit too early, before configuring something I should have configured - aaand, I've pretty fucked up everything. I tried to fix the bootloader from Windows by following this thing here and booting from USB but nothing changed except getting from this starting screen to this other. In both cases, USB or Yosemite drive, I got a Panic for "OS Version not set".
Furthermore, the Yosemite SSD can't be seen from Windows even if I installed the drivers for getting read-only access to NFS+ drives...
So... is there any way to get back on my Yosemite avoiding fresh installs?
Your help is very welcome. - S.
