So, this has been a consistent problem with this machine, with a few different versions of Chimera and two versions of Mac OSX. The boot drive doesn't always appear, and instead I get " boot drive not found, please reboot and select a boot drive...." Or something along those lines.
I've replaced the sata cable and tried all the various power cables coming from the PSU and still having the same problem. I think it may be the drive itself (a corsair SSD that I've had for three years or so), but I want to see if anyone has experienced something similar... Maybe a BiOS setting I am missing?
And I don't think it's the MoBo, as I have another HDD and it has never had the same issue.
