Sorry for the long post, I just thought that maybe if I put it in writing things might end up in perspective. I have been running a hackintosh for the last year.

GA-Z87-OC, 32GB RAM, i7 4770K and for the last month or so a GTX960. Dualbooting with Win 8.1

And for the most part there have been few issues. Some small thing would break after an update, but never anything major. Until about a week ago, after a failed Windows update I managed to mess with the OSX partition. But I thought "what the he**, maybe time to upgrade a bit more". So I put in 2 x Samsung EVO 840 250GB, hoping to run in RAID.

However I ran into real trouble getting the GTX960 to work, in spite of it working without a problem earlier (I had upgraded from a GTX760 about a month ago), but trying to install OSX again I could not get it work.

I managed to install OSX, but the drivers failed every time (either failed to install or just getting errors after boot). I have now tried for over 48 hours to get it to work and I just can't seem to find a way to get it to work. And I am thinking that maybe this is not ment to be.

I love my hackintosh and being a geek is a point of pride for me to get this to work. However I have started to wonder if this is the best use of my time.

Don't get me wrong I have loved these 48 hours, allowed me to catch up on Breaking Bad, but if I have not been able to get it to work by now I might not be. What do you guys think?

Sorry if the post sounds a little whiny, but it has been a long weekend and I just at a crossroad now when it comes to my hackintosh.
