So, I've installed OSX Yosemite on a separate hard drive to my main boot drive. I installed Chimera both separately and in MultiBeast, but it doesn't appear even when I tell my BIOS to boot from that drive. I get a cursor that blinks several times then the screen goes blank, blinks several times, goes blank. I think it's running through my card reader before it finally boots from my Windows drive.
I've disabled everything I could find that said I should, but instructions are generally for other models of Z97 motherboard. No one seems to have much experience with the ASUS Z97-K and instructions aren't exactly clear as to where to find some of the stuff it wants disabled (like CFG Lock). I'm pretty sure it's running in AHCI mode, but I don't really know how to check... I had less issue installing OSX BEFORE UEFI was widespread. :/
Also, is there an IRC channel for this subreddit or something? I hate asking simple questions on Reddit, coz they're not worth an entire thread. :(
