This is my current rig. It's mainly my photo editing workstation, but I've started gaming (Steam & emulation) inside Mavericks exclusively now. I've completely rid my system of Windows.
I've noticed that the Borderlands series isn't quite staying at 60FPS. Just for testing, I installed Nvidia's web driver to see if that would alleviate the problem. It didn't, and performance took a huge dive.
Does Yosemite have better graphics performance? Or should I be looking into the GTX 9xx series cards? I know they're not supported natively... how is their performance with the web driver?
And a final question about M.2 SSDs. Anyone out there using one to boot their hack? I'd like to pick one up for the massive speed increase.
