Running 10.10.2 with 8 GB of ram. Both Activity Monitor and top show my ram usage at about 7-7.5 GB out of 8, with only safari open. Function-wise, it seems that this is not true - there is absolutely no lag, and games do not lag either. Everything runs smooth, and the page file is empty. Is OS X just misreporting my RAM usage? Or does 'used RAM' mean something else than RAM currently being accessed?
