Optical 5.1 audio output?

Got a Gigabyte GA-H97N-WIFI motherboard. I can get optical audio out but can't get 5.1 output into my receiver.


Using Clover with AppleHDA. Layout_ID=1. I've tried other IDs and I get audio out, but not 5.1 surround. Am I using the wrong AppleHDA or something?
