PCI to PCIe converter?

I want to connect a PCIe Network card into a PCI slot on my motherboard using this

Would this work? On the reviews people claim it works on their windows machines so would it work with Yosemite? It claims to not need any drivers to work.

My motherboard has two PCIe slots which are being used by my graphics and by my WIFI card. All I have left is the old original PCI slot.
