This weekend I've decided to rebuild my formerly-working hackintosh using Clover and EFI, rather than legacy and BIOS emulation etc for the purpose of enabling iMessage and the App Store among other things. I'm using OS X Yosemite 10.10. I spent the better part of the afternoon working on getting Clover booting off a USB, eventually succeeding -- I'm now attempting to get the boot loader installed on the internal drive and so far, having no luck. [Edit]: I'm using Clover 2.3 r3193 for this.

My system specs are:

M/board: ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Professional CPU: Core i7 4770K GFX: nVidia GTX760 HDD: Samsung 840 EVO

The problem I'm having is that while Clover boots perfectly off the USB drive, and indeed can boot the hard drive via the boot loader on USB, I can't get the UEFI to detect Clover when it is installed on the EFI partition of the SSD -- it seems as though the UEFI is completely ignoring the internal EFI partition, when I attempt to boot it drops me straight into the UEFI Setup rather than the boot loader. If I attempt a boot with the USB drive attached, I see the expected Clover boot screen and am able to successfully boot OS X.

This is all with CSM turned off -- if I turn CSM on in the UEFI Setup, I'm greeted with an "insert disk and press any key" prompt when attempting to boot without the USB. I've tried installing Clover to my boot partition, to no avail. The goal here is to obviously have the system booting itself without outside assistance, much like it did with Chameleon prior to me making this attempt. I've also tried manually formatting the EFI partition and reinstalling Clover, but this also failed.

I know the system is capable of full native UEFI booting, as it is supported on Windows (Server 2008 R2, basically Windows 7), I just am quickly reaching a loss for troubleshooting methods as Clover is a completely new beast which I'm unfamiliar with. A lot of search results lead to forums with "fixes" that don't work for me, or, aren't options within my UEFI Setup.

Any tricks or other troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated, I'd really like to avoid legacy booting if at all possible (I plan to reinstall Windows using native UEFI after I get this going, too) but will be prepared to drop back to "normal" Clover if absolutely necessary.
