Unorthodox Build, I have a few Questions

Hello, Currently I am running 10.10.1 on the following setup, It seems to run decently, however It gets extremely slow and hangs when installing some applications [Final Cut Pro Studio 7, AVID, and Adobe CS6] Browsing the web seems sluggish; It just doesn't feel as snappy as it should.

AMD FX 8350 @ 4.2ghz

16GB DDR3 @ 2133mhz

Crosshair V Formula Z Motherboard Rev.1.

EVGA GTX 680 2048mb x 2

OCZ Vertex SSD

Has anyone had success with a similar build on 10.10.1? I can't find too many resources about people using the Crosshair V Formula Z, I'm using a DSDT for the motherboard but I fear it may be a bit outdated, however without the DSDT the system is absolutely sluggish. The NVIDIA Web Drivers seem to be working excellently as both my devices are recognized, and my multi monitor setup is working. If anyone is willing to help but needs more system information from me I would gladly provide it. Also willing to throw a bounty on helping to getting my system running as best it can, hell if I could squeeze a bit more speed out of it and run my Editing apps I would be all set.

Does anyone have any tips; are my boot flags causing an issue? I can also provide the DSDT if anyone wants to take a look at that as well.

Also since I'm using the AMD Kernel that is bundled with Niresh's Yosemite build what is the best way to go about using the app store to update Yosemite to the latest version? I currently have been reading conflicting stories about people using AMD and upgrading, some say they are able to upgrade to atleast 10.10.2 and other say that the AMD kernel simply won't function.

If it continues to act sluggishly and I cannot seem to work out my issue I may go to Mavericks, however I fear that may be more of a pain.
