I've been wanting to build a hackintosh for awhile. I was looking at using the Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD70-TH, since it has dual Thunderbolt ports. However it looks like Apple might transition to USB-C. Is Thunderbolt quickly going to become obsolete?
Also, I was "only" planning on using 32GB RAM. But I might want to upgrade to 64GB in the future. Is it worth buying a motherboard with 8 memory slots to support 64GB?
I'd appreciate any advice or recommendations you have for a high-end motherboard that works well in hackintosh builds.
