I want to program apps for Swift and iphone, but obviously you need Xcode to do that. I have an old MBP from 2006, but I can't run anything past Snow Leopard on it since it's not dual core (core 2 duo). Anyway, I know I've been lagging behind the power curve and should just suck it up and drop $2300 on a new MBP, but I was wondering if there's a cheaper alternative.

I've made hackintoshes before, but they were Dell Mini 9s with pretty solid auto-install chameleon tools for Snow Leopard. I've got a pretty baller desktop build (windows 7) but I can't seem to get the kexts right to install OSX either natively or with a VM (its a core i5 with a z87 board, nvideo graphics card, etc etc).

Either way, I want a vanilla solutions, or a better way to install OSX Mavericks on my intel machine. I've scoured the tonymac forums for kext solutions, but for whatever reason, I just can't get any satisfaction haha. Is there any help you guys can offer?
