I recently installed another SSD with win8.1 and reset booted up just fine. However I used my computer last night turned it off turned it on this morning and it books into this weird desktop with no icons no desktop top bar menu or anything.
last time this happened my computer for some reason was not in ACHI mode, so i checked this and it is. For now I have been able to just boot into windows instead of going to mountain lion. running: Asus p8h77I itx mobo, I3 processor.
