Hey team, I'm looking to build a GTA V Slayer / Hackintosh. I'll be on Windows 90% of the time but will need the other 10% for work projects.
Budget: ~$1,200
Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada
I've used the following part list (http://www.tonymacx86.com/building-customac-buyers-guide-april-2015.html) to get me where I am now but I need help with a few final things.
Is anything here overkill? I'm looking to chop off ~$200 ideally. I'll only be playing at 1080 but I'm a huge framerate nazi so I'm looking for 60+ no matter what I'm playing on the 2015/2016 market.
What kind of case/fans setup would you suggest? I have NO idea how to shop for cases or by the volume of my parts and the cooling that they'll need. (Including the cooling unit I've selected for my CPU, is this even necessary or will stock be fine?)
Is a 650W PSU enough here? If so, maybe this is a good spot to drop down to the Corsair CS 550? Is PSU compatibility really that important in a Hackintosh?
Any compatibility issues that you notice, please make them known. For all I know that list may just be a guideline and not a list of golden rules.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask, I'll be checking back here regularly to help as much as I can.
Thanks in advance.
