Hi, I bought a new display today, but I have a problem with a dual monitor setup, and even though I'm not the only one (I've searched Google before posting here) no one managed to find a solution.

My problem consists in having the login screen in the worng monitor at startup. I've setup my primary monitor (moving the bar to the monitor I work mostly) to the newer one, but at a restart, the monitor dissapears and the login window shows on the secondary (old) display.

Also, after login, the only way to make the primary monitor display something is to turn it off from the button, and then turning it back on. After that, everything is fine, even after sleep/wakeup.

Rig details:

Intel 4570 Nvidia GTX 660, primary monitor (new) is connected via DisplayPort, the secondary (old) via DVI. Default or Web video drivers, doesn't matter, it;s the same thing. Booting with PCIRootUID=1 (In Mavericks I had it to 0) Latest Yosemite.

I've never had problems with the setup with the (old) display connected via DVI. With the newer one (DisplayPort), I have to do the turning the monitor on and off thing for it to display something, even if it's the only one connected.

Any ideas on what should I do?
