Due to a dumb Nvidia driver update which froze in Yosemite, my old Hackintosh install was unbootable. So, I figured I will do a fresh install of Yosemite on a new SSD (using Unibeast). I tried using my boot arguments that I used before for day to day booting and adding -x and -v to it (PCIRootUID=0 npci=0x2000) and that didn't work. I got it to boot into the installer with (npci=0x2000 nv_disable=1 -f -x-v), but I get kernel panic around half way through the install.

What worked for me when I did the install before if I recall correctly was: -v -x nv_disable=1 maxmem=8192 PCIRootUID=0 npci=0x2000.

If it helps, my system config: - MSI Z97I AC - MSI GTX 970 - i5 4690k

I'm not near my PC right now, but I can run it soon once I'm home to give you all a better idea of whats going on.
