Got my hackintosh up and running for the most part..video card and sound recognized. Used Multibeast-easybeast and one other tweak for audio. However, I cannot get it to boot on it's own. I always have to use the USB stick.
However, I had to install it on GUID instead of MBR, at least this past time. (I really had nothing on the HD so I reinstalled OS from scratch a couple of times)For some reason it would not let me install it on an MBR partition like it did before even if I erased the disk and repartitioned it using disk utility. Tried that 3 times.. It said it could not be installed and then restarted the machine. This was all via unibeast.
It's up and running on a 3rd hd in my system. Only thing is I need to use USB stickk to get it booted up. Is it because of the MBR versus GUID? And if it is, how could I fix the error that wouldn't let me install it as an MBR despite allowing me to do it before? Not a big deal if I have to start from scratch.
