Okey as 99% of post here are either Will this work , why doesnt this work etc of people not doing proper research before installing , I decided too make this post.

This post works on ALL Motherboard and even Laptops.

Here Im gonna go trough what you need too check , what's compatible and what you should do and dont do!

Lets start with

CPU :

All from Core2X , IX-core are fully supported by OSX both with powermangement and P-states.

There are ways too get Pentium and ATOM CPU supported by FakeCPUID using clover but I would personally not recommend it as Pstates and powermangement isnt proper and can end up damaging your hardware aswell as not getting the proper performance.

Too get your CPU working first you need too do 3 Things

  1. Pick a SMBIOS that is closest too your hardware configuration

  2. If you have a IX-core CPU generate a SSDT using SSDTgen

https://github.com/Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh/tree/Beta

  1. Enable CState and PState if you have a core2x CPU

Enable dropssdt if you have IX-core cpu and place it in ACPI/patched

Ram :

All ram Is supported so dont worry

Graphics :

Most Graphic cards are supported both on nvidia side and ATI

  • Too get NVIDIA working is too use the webdrivers and install them

  • if you have an nvidia card you might need too use nv_disable=1 flag before installing the drivers

  • Intel HD3000 , HD4000 ,HD4600 är supported natively

*Most ATI card are supported nativly with the correct framebuffer.

All HDD And SSD are supported but you need an trim enabler to enable trim on SSD.

Audio :

Most audio is supported and I recommend you too use CloverALC and if that doesnt work check this thread out :

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298663-applehda-for-yosemite/

this should solve audio for 99% of the users.

Motherboards :

All Intel chipset should work without any problems , no matter what motherboard you have the install process is more or less the same.

First go too your manifacturs website and find out which audio chipset you have , Then you find out which Ethernet chipset you have .

when that you go into insanelymac and download the enthernet driver and the fakesmc and place them in the extra/10.10 folder

If you have another brand than Gigabyte you might need too patch your Bios for MSR or you can do on the fly patching with Clover.

Install guide :

Follow this guide and for god sake NEVER USE MULTIBEAST or Unibeast

Follow the guide step by step and if you have uefi bios pick the uefi alternativs if you have a legacy bios pick the legacy alternatives.

http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-guides/144426-how-install-os-x-yosemite-using-clover.html

After you done this Download Clover Configuratior and follow the clover wiki on where too put what in what hardware.

http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/

This will and should work on all Intel computers

Post Install :

After the install is done follow the guide again but this time just the install clover part and pick the same alternative in the clover install.

After that download clover configurator and press on mount EFI.

When EFI is mounted , Make an SMBIOIS ,download SSDTGen and generate a SSDT for your CPU and smbios

When this is done you can reboot and remount EFI folder again

But this time we are going too add a patch DSDT.

too patch a DSDT download MACIASL and add the repo fitting your Motherboard brand:

http://www.pjalm.com/forums/

most motherboard are there so it should be a problem finding one and making one yourself.

Patching dsdt isnt hard and there are several guide out there so google and find one that fits you :)

after DSDT is added too apci/patched and KEXT to 10.10 then you are done and have a fully function hackintosh :)

this is a rough sketch and will be rewritten but yea it shouldnt be hard too understand :)
