Running Snow Leopard on an older build. Recently I've been having boot problems where it will shut down 1-2 seconds after boot. The PC will continue this on/off cycle indefinitely. Does not make it to the BIOS splash screen

I've tested the power supply (paperclip test) and it ran fine. Thinking it may be a heat issue I re applied thermal grease to the heatsink but did not see any change. I removed the CMOS battery and It did stay on for a longer period of time on the first boot, not sure if that was a fluke or not, but I returned to the on/off cycle. Disconnected extra RAM and hard drives made no difference.

Any suggestions on where to go from here? I'm thinking there may be a problem with the motherboard itself. I would like to know if I purchase a new board, will it effect booting from multibeast? I have a project on the hard drive that I need to finalize so I can't re format the drives at the moment.
