High resolution (1440p) with 4600HD- Can it be done?

Hi,

My 2560x1440 monitor works fine in Windows on my laptop (via HDMI 1.4a)

In OS X the maximum it will offer to display is 1920x1080. I am not "mirroring" displays.

I have tried SwitchResX but 2560x1440p looks very very unclear (and I suspect it's just stretching 1080p).

My laptop is a Clevo P650SE (the 4600HD)

How can I get it to display the full 1440p resolution?
