Okeh, so, my specs are:
AMD FX-6300 MSI R9 270X 2G GA-970A-UD3P 8GB RAM and a 1TB HDD with Windows and Linux sharing it with Yosemite.
After installation, I couldn't boot without safe mode as I was stuck at the grey screen with the beach ball of death. Some dude in InsanelyMac posted this http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/304513-fixguide-amd-stuck-at-greywhite-screen-with-spinning-beachball/ and I was able to boot. I tried all the possible ways to get the ALC892 working, but it didn't work for me, so I had to resort to VoodooHDA. I have full acceleration. everything's working properly except I still am having a bug with my ethernet device disconnecting when I'm downloading a large file, making me have to reboot. I extracted my DSDT and put in in /Extra for the fun of it, but it's not patched in any way. I boot with:
npci=0x3000 kext-dev-mode=1 dart=0
