Sorry in advance, this is my first post. I've been looking online for a guide to do this to my laptop for a while, most guides I have seen tell you to install OS X over Windows, then install Windows again afterwards. I have an ASUS laptop with Win8.1, I have been able to get to the USB installer to run (though it was Niresh's 10.10 distro, but I want to use a clean copy) so I guess my hardware is compatible, I just don't know where to start if this is possible. I want to do this becaise I write/record/perform music and I wanted to try out Logic Pro.

Edit: Thought I'd add that these could be installed on the same hard drive, or on my external USB drive, but I can't get into my computer to remove the internal HDD, which was detailed in many dual-boot guides
