tl;dr: I would like to have instructions, under Yosemite's diskutil, how to change the Logical Partition on my SATA drive back to where it's a Mac OS Extended partition.
I have a 3TB Western Digital Green SATA drive that currently has a logical partition on it, and I want to use it for a RAID1 drive, but I cannot because it's not revertible and cannot even be mounted.
I'm booting up on a USB drive, and going into Disk Utility to try and get this drive ready. Here's the output:
-bash-3.2# diskutil cs list CoreStorage logical volume groups (1 found) | +-- Logical Volume Group 9D35E012-1B84-4BED-92BC-A41FF1354587 ========================================================= Name: Untitled Status: Online Size: 3000249008128 B (3.0 TB) Free Space: 2756608 B (2.8 MB) | +-< Physical Volume 39205355-CECF-4179-ACCC-C78FB33E559C | ---------------------------------------------------- | Index: 0 | Disk: disk0s2 | Status: Online | Size: 3000249008128 B (3.0 TB) | +-> Logical Volume Family A9CF6CAA-FC63-4BFF-B596-3D3995637F16 ---------------------------------------------------------- Encryption Status: Unlocked Encryption Type: None Conversion Status: NoConversion Conversion Direction: -none- Has Encrypted Extents: No Fully Secure: No Passphrase Required: No | +-> Logical Volume E5A4A9BD-90EC-4606-9A69-A5F9B95AC0EB --------------------------------------------------- Disk: disk1 Status: Online Size (Total): 2999893925888 B (3.0 TB) Conversion Progress: -none- Revertible: No LV Name: LVG Volume Name: LVG Content Hint: Apple_HFS
Any help is greatly appreciated.
