Sorry Im a newbie... this is what i a bought, what should I know before i start building

I want to know if i did something wrong before i open any packaging, i can take stuff back I'm in no hurry.

I got a MSI z97 board EVGA GTX 970 and a Intel Core i5-4590

and I have 32gb of ram

I have a case an power supply from a friend I don't know what they are but they will be fine. Any reason I wouldn't be able to install Yosemite on this hardware?
