This might just be the stupidest thing you guys have ever heard, but here it is.

I posted a little while back about not having USB drives recognized in the OSX partition, but I got it all sorted out thanks to /u/themacmeister.

Now I'm having this weird issue (and this has been a problem since the beginning) where I don't really have the ability to boot into the drive. At startup, I can select the drive, but I get an error. I must go through the USB I used to set everything up. That's fine, I can boot into any of my partitions from there, but it's just kinda weird how I can't actually seem to use a bootloader, and it's getting a little annoying.

My method has been to use multibeast, and it has otherwise performed admirably and has taken care of all my needs, but even when it says it's loading Chimera v4.1.0 into the drive (and yes, I've double-checked that it is actually the OSX drive), nothing happens at startup.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong here? I'm not sure what steps to take at this point considering everything else is working. Ideas?
