Once you get over the first install hump of fully enabling (or as close as you will get with your kit) the features of your hardware, how stable is daily use of your Hackintosh?

I am weighing an actual Mac vs. building one, and want to know what I am getting into potentially.

I like the idea of getting more raw power and upgradability for my buck than the current Apple hardware options. (Frankly I feel like I am part of an under-served market that Apple used to serve but abandoned, but that's another story)

Looking over the guides, I am not afraid to go to war to get it a build working, but am curious, once you are over that initial plateau, how "buggy" is daily life in your experience?

Barring the issues with getting each release working (which its reasonable to assume is messy) is daily driving like having a Mac or is it more like having Linux on a PC in the 90's where you are fiddling constantly?

Thanks for any insight.
