Hey all, I feel like I've learned a ton about hackintoshes from my time in this forum and on other websites... I've helped friends make hackintoshes successfully with older systems, multiple times, but I have still been struggling to fix my own problem!
My system is: ASRock Extreme3 Z97 Pentium G3258 Galaxy GTX660SC 14GB whatever RAM etc
Out of the important components I definitely think my Pentium is the biggest issue. I don't have a link to it right now but the tutorial on making a G3258 work that is frequently posted has not worked for me. Various boot flags can make things crash earlier, but I'm basically hitting the usually bluetooth_transport_controller which is apparently a graphics thing (because of the iGPU on the G3258)
Can any of you tell me something magical about my GPU that fixes this?? If not, I'm planning to get a 4690k regardless of its hackintosh potential. I'd like the power in Windows. But can anybody tell me if that will fix my trouble? Or do my Hackintosh difficulties lie in my motherboard or GPU?
