I am thinking about finally making the jump to Yosemite on my main machine, but I am terrified of losing iMessages and having my account locked by Apple. Has anyone had good success with the transition? I have Clover up and running Yosemite on a second partition for testing right now, but have yet to sign into iMessages as I am worried it will break my Mavericks setup if something goes wrong.
Would it be better to upgrade my current setup since that has an already "approved" serial number, as it were, associated with my Apple ID?
Just curious if anyone has had success with this transition in the iMessage department, or has any suggestions in terms of upgrading an existing installation vs starting fresh.
