Hey /r/Hackintosh,

The kind people of /r/BuildAPC have redirected me here through the sidebar, and through a short google and a look at your sidebar I came across this guide where I recognised that all the parts in my build would be compatible.

Now my question is, I am a first time builder who has always owned Macs, going from the original 17" Macbook Pro to the 27" iMac and now I am at a crossroads, Windows or Hackintosh?

I am far more familiar with OS X than I am with Windows, and am worried about problems regarding viruses etc. on Windows.

With this computer I aim to do mainly gaming, on games that I know work and have used on OS X, as well as general use for studying etc.

If you guys could point out to me any part incompatibilities that may pop up and any steps I should take in my installation to minimise problems that would be extremely helpful.

Oh and I will be following this guide using UniBeast and then MultiBeast.

Thanks so much!
