Hi All,

So after much research, I am kind of stuck now, some of y'all may remember when I asked for a new desktop build, but I eventually realized that my current Desktop build (specs: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Rd9q3C), I realized maybe I can just switch the motherboard and CPU, and keep the tower, GPU and RAM as is, since I am trying to save money, and instead sell the old motherboard and CPU.

That being said, my questions are:

I am looking for cheap ways to make my desktop compatible, but also make sure that the money I put into the hardware is a strong value (basically, it is just as fast, or even faster than the previous hardware I am swapping for).

Some CPU and Motherboard's I have come across: - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2qxQGX vs. - http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YbkWf7

  • I am also open to other CPU and Motherboards, as long as they fit the identical price range!

So which combo should I go with, or other parts I should instead purchase to make my desktop Hackintosh compatible? Should I also buy an SSD? I have a lot of extra Hard Drives, so I can always throw OS X onto that. My entire desktop is also stock with three case fans (not sure if I should worry about cooling, though my current build doesn't have cooling problems).

Secondly, is there specific documentaiton I can look into to ease the process? Any links would be super helpful!

I guess I should also mention, my primary use of this Hackintosh is for iOS development, along with other programming languages, AutoDesk, Video Editing (nothing too big), and other editing software such as Photoshop. I intend to keep my dual boot of Windows as well.

Thanks!
