Hi r/hackintosh.
I am a Linux user, not used to use pirated software at all. I have used OS X for work in the past and I there is a lot to love in it, and today I find myself in need of OS X for a personal project (i.e. can't spend much, if at all). For now, I'll use a Virtual Box VM, and if I see myself using more OS X I'll jump to a real Hackintosh or Apple computer.
The only method I've got to work is a VMDSK by Niresh. Now, being as I said relatively new to this kind of thing, I feel uneasy using a pirated OS. Should I not trust anything sensitive to the VM? Does Niresh has a solid reputation that I should trust?
Are there particular measures that I should take, signs I should look for that indicate something shady is going on in my system?
TL;DR: gonna use a VM with Niresh' image; used to not-pirated open source software, feeling uneasy, rightfully so? what should I do?
