So today I build my first hackintosh. Components are:
- Asus p8Z68-v (patched bios)
- GTX 750 ti
- Intel 2500k
I used clover bootloader. I had to install clover in legacy mode, because apparently my motherboard doesn't fully support UEFI booting (any disadvantages with that?).
Post install I placed fakesmc and intelE1000 in clover kexts folder, installed nvidia drivers, generated ssdt for native cpu pm, changed smbios to 13,2, enabled trim and everything started working.
I intended to edit my dsdt, but do I have to? Sleep and wake works, speedstep works, graphics works and my usb dac works (even though it takes about a minute for it to get listed in audio devices).
So when do you know you have fully working hackintosh? What things you need to check and how to know if there are any conflicts between your system and mac os kernel?
