I've got a Dell XPS 8300 that's been a very stable hack for a couple of years, currently dual-booting OS X and Windows 10. I'm not great at this stuff, I basically don't update OS X until I have a solid reason. I needed to update from 10.10.2 to 10.10.5, decided to give Clover a shot.
I followed the guide on TonyMac86 and installed it to a USB. It installed with no issues (sweet!). I updated to 10.10.5, again went perfect. So I decided to install Clover to my main HDD, followed the instructions, went to reboot and it boots straight into Windows.
OSX and Windows 10 both boot from the same SSD, and they both have their own 1tb partition for storage. Not the safest approach probably, but it's been stable without problems for years.
So now I can boot into OS X or Windows from the USB, but trying to use my normal startup drive, that used to have Chimera on it, is just bringing me straight into Windows.
I'm kind of stuck now. I really don't want to lose or have to reinstall either OS, it wouldn't kill me but it's a big time sink. I can't roll back to Chimera easily, it won't boot the 10.10.5 update, it KP's like crazy.
I can just use the USB, so it's not a huge issue, but it'd be nice to have Clover on the main drive. It's booting in legacy mode btw, no EUFI.
Any advice or experience to get it booting normally? Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks!
