My Yosemite update is failing on MBR laptop install. I am nearly going to try it from external USB 3.0 cradle, and see if that makes a difference (obviously plugged into USB 2.0 port). I cannot even boot UniBeast Yosemite 10.10.4 installer USB on the laptop... reboots extremely early in boot process. Mavericks is running so well, I am very very paranoid about the upgrade failing...
I am of the opinion that I originally installed Mavericks via USB cradle as a last resort (the BIOS does not support GPT HDD). It is also not EFI/UEFI capable.
