I can see the top of the mountain and it is glorious, yet I am not there.
"still waiting on root device", this is where my boot stops if I don't boot with ignore caches. The only clue I have is AppleRTC.
The other issue, prior to logging in, the background instead of the calm cool grey is a rachet noise.
But I think(?) I'm mostly stable at this point.
This is my build:
- Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD7-TH
- Core i7-4790K
- GTX 960 SC ACX 2.0+ 4GB
- 32 Gb of Crucial Ballistix Tactical RAM
- a Corsair 650W PSU
- Corsair 500R
- the recommended TP-link adapter
And my old laptop's Samsung EVO 840 SSD 500Gb.
My old Dell monitor is looking quite fresh with the video card driving it. Everything is good so far after a bit of a battle.
The boot issue still escapes me.
