Now, I know NVIDIA GPU's are easier to work with, but I unfortunately already bought a Freesync monitor (that I want to use for gaming on my Windows partition). My question is this, do I have to run OSX from the r9 290x, or could I run my OS from the onboard (Intel HD 4600) graphics that I'll have, and have the Windows partition running from the 290X.

Also, I've been trying to use tonymacx86 as a guide, I see that the case that I want, isn't listed under his cases. Does it really matter that much?

Thanks so much for all your help! I can't wait to start buying and get me a hackintosh!
