Sorry if this is a stupid question. I made the mistake of downloading the combo 10.10.5 update from the App Store.

My desktop then would not boot because of "AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement". I figure following the steps here will solve this problem.

However, it wants me to run MultiBeast from my USB drive - which I deleted because it wasn't my USB and I had to give it back to its rightful owner. I have now reinstalled UniBeast onto the USB and am prompted to install Yosemite. Is it safe to install it onto my existing drive? If it isn't, how else can I access MultiBeast to fix the problem without losing everything?

Again, sorry if the answer to this is obvious; I'm scared of losing my data. (No need to tell me I should be backing my stuff up :/ )
