So, this is a bid of a first world problem... and a good challenge for mac hackers, but here it is. I am French and learned English, a language I work with and often live by. I bought a QWERTY laptop in Hong Kong and trained to fast type on it the same way I did with my AZERTY layout before. So whenever I would want to write in French, I would use a space-cmd shortcut to switch layouts and do so quite automatically. But IF i want to undo something I just written, the cmd Z shortcut has moved with the key on my layout... since the Z in a QWERTY is remapped as a W in an AZERTY, it closes my freaking window... And who does actually think of letters when he hits a shortcut? Would there be any way to re-assign letters on my French layout for the shortcuts ONLY? ie map the shortcuts so that they stick to the same key (opposite to the same letter... that will move) not matter what layout they are in? Thanks for your help !
