Hello Guys! I've been interested in Hackintoshes and especially dualbooting Hackintosh along with Windows for quite some time now. Lately I've begun trying out to install OS X Yosemite but I cannot even enter the setup...
I am really new to this so it might just be some simple steps I forgot but well...
So to my setup:
- CPU: Xeon 1230v3
- Mainboard: MSI H87 UEFI
- GPU: Powercolor R9 280x
- HDDs: 120GB Samsung SSD + 500GB Samsung
- current OS: Windows 10 Pro 64Bit
I tried following this link for creating the thumbdrive and wanted to follow this tutorial for setting up dualboot properly.
So right now I have got a USB Stick with UniBeast(Yosemite) and the Multibeast folder on it lying around.
My problem is that I cannot enter the setup. If I'm booting off the USB I get the UniBeast screen and can select to boot from USB but then the white screen with the Apple symbol in the middle flashes for a second, then my PC resets.
On verbose mode I could not see at which step it rebooted because it was so fast, but I could see that it was the first step/line after all the HFS+ files were read.
It does not start in safe mode (-x) either.
While browsing this subreddit I found the info that flashing another BIOS onto my GPU could be a solution but as my CPU doesn't have an internal GPU I do not really want to mess up anything with my only source of video output.
Anyways, help would be greatly appreciated!
