So I've had my hackintosh for 2 years now, been running Mountain Lion Unibeast with no problems at all. But my programs are getting out of date, I'd like to keep up with everyone in my industry.
Here are my specs, I stuck with the tonymacx86 guide when I built it so I assume I shouldn't have any problems with Yosemite?
- System: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H
- CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K LGA1150
- Graphics: Asus GeForce GTX 760 2GB
- Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series: 4x 8GB 1866MHz
I'd like to try Clover this time around, and my plan is to switch to SSD (Samsung 850 Evo 500gb) as well, so I'm going to do a clean install, then Time-Machine backup restore. Problem is, Time Machine isn't working at the moment (won't finish). Will I have the same results from using my old MacHD? Does it matter that I'm skipping over Mavericks?
Am I right in thinking Clover will allow me to update from 10.10 to 10.11 via the App Store from now on?
