First time builder.
Tried and succeeded with MultiBeast first, decided to try out Clover as there seems to be less tinkering with OS X involved for that.
Pretty unremarkable install process other than the nv_disable=1 boot flag is required to boot while the nVidia GeForce drivers aren't installed. This is extremely important. Additionally UEFI/BIOS settings must be correct. Tonymac's guide is pretty solid throughout, but getting the boot flags right for your system is really the only unknown.
- MSI Gaming 7 (Z97 chip)
- Intel Xeon E1230 3.4GHz
- Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB * 2
- MSI Twin Frozr GTX 970 4GB
- Corsair RM750 PSU
- Samsung 850 EVO SSD
- Clover + OS X 10.10.5
Little bit of fiddling around with config.plist afterwards to get two things working:
- TRIM enabled
- iMessage
But those aren't too bad at all, top Google hit will solve your problem in both cases. An additional bit of fiddling to get the cosmetics of Clover right too, but that's optional.
