I was able to get my machine booting (and restoring from a Time Machine backup) this morning. I spent a lot of time faffing around with Unibeast and whatnot; what ended up working for me was:

  1. Installing Yosemite to the target disk on my actual, real-live Macintosh (I used a Thunderbolt enclosure);
  2. installing Clover EFI and bits and bobs from the Rampage X99 DMG (kexts, config.plist, DSDT);
  3. patching the kernel on the Hackintosh disk with the Magic Perl Incantation;
  4. moving the disk from the Thunderbolt enclosure to the SATA bus in the Hackintosh;
  5. restarting into Clover, and adding the -v -f -x switches, and booting.

I am able to use WiFi, USB 3.0, and my Titan X (with the nVidia web drivers, and 'nvda_drv=1' in the Clover config). Yet to test:

  1. Bluetooth
  2. audio

I use a USB DAC, so I'm not likely to expend a lot of energy on (2), but I'd like to be able to use my Bluetooth trackpad.
