Hello,

I installed OSX 10.10.5 on my PC last weekend and got everything else working from ethernet to USB3 but no matter what guides & help I have found online, I am not able to make get power management to work correctly. It either crashes on boot with "p-state stepper error 18" error or if it boots it's stuck on 1,6GHz according to Intel Power Gadget. I have my i5 overclocked to 4,3GHz

I have tried letting Clover to generate p- & s-states but when it didn't work I tried using ssdtprgen to generate SSDT-file, I used proper flags to designate turbo-frequency to 4300 and so on. I also dropped OEM SSDT-tables. No matter what I tried, I can't get it working correctly. I do use Clover's ASUS PM-patch to avoid kernel panic.

Computer-specs

  • Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LE
  • CPU: Sandy Bridge i5-2500K OC'd to 4,3GHz
  • RAM: 8GB 1600MHz DDR3
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX770 2GB

Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere, I tried searching here and around the web but nothing has worked what I tried. Any ideas and tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I am not willing to put my i5 back to stock clocks so that's not a solution.
