Yup, that's right -- no EFI partition, no Recovery Partition!

Thanks to the retarded BIOS in this laptop (cannot be hacked as of now), the computer flat-out refuses to boot off GUID formatted drives. I had a Mavericks 10.9.5 install on there for a year now, and it was working so well (with Chimera boot), I was afraid to touch it.

Luckily, user RGhabriel on InsanelyMac forum decided to be the guinea-pig, and went ahead, thankfully posting a guide of how he did it -> http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/300289-acer-aspire-4752-1095-guide-with-kextpack/page-2#entry2170828

I also added some info on the new 10.10.5 entry, with what I did to get USB3.0/Ethernet and backlight working on startup -> http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308310-acer-aspire-4752-10105-guide-with-kextpack/

I am very, very pleased with how it came out, and not having to backup/restore 300GB of software and settings was also a big plus.

Hope this helps somebody out there with the same, or very similar machine.
