As the title says, I want to build a fairly good computer (not for gaming or anything like that and ~$450). I found a Power Mac G4 at 20 bucks and want to take advantage of that. I know heat and stuff can be a big issue, but could you peeps suggest compatible parts that do not generate too much heat? I want it mainly for the looks, to watch media, do some basic MS Office stuff and iTunes but i also don't want the most basic, 2002 hardware that there is; again, i plan to spend ~$450 + the case.
Also, I would prefer to use an AMD processor, and i've read it can be done but it can be tricky so, in your opinion: is it worth not supporting the devil itself (intel) the problems that our savior AMD can have with OS X?
Yes, the dissing Intel and praising AMD is a joke. Geez.
