I've just installed Yosemite yesterday and now it started to lag. I opened Activity Monitor to find a process called "kernel_task" sucking 330MB of ram. What's that? Can it be because I'm downloading 10.10.5 update from App Store in the background (but it's just a download, why would it take 300MB of ram?)
And how do I set swap up? And I heard that there may be something wrong with "CPU speed/power management" (something to do with a kext) that could cause lag, how do I check that?
