I posted over in /r/buildapc, but so far no love.
Basically, I'm having an issue with my current BIOS and I'm not interested in flashing with the 3rd party hack it seems to require to get working.
So my question now is, would this be a good time to upgrade my core components to something more hackintosh friendly?
My concern as stated in the other thread is that I don't want to buy at a bad buying time. I remember buying a 9700 Pro or 9800 Pro a few weeks before the 6600 was released and it hurt. My last upgrade cycle I feel like I bought at the perfect time since now 3 and a half years later my machine is still very relevant.
So my question is: Is there an upgrade path for around $1.2k that makes sense given my current specs?
